Latest rise in fuel prices has the stock market feeling nervous

The price of oil keeps going up, and now it costs five pounds more than it did just six weeks ago to fill up a typical car tank, thanks to the plunging value of the pound, along with stock market speculators. The AA says that the price of petrol is going up again and now is around £138.2 per litre, with diesel fuel being at £145.10.

This does not please many people as regular motorists have been stuck between the lower pound and increased nervousness in the stock market, leading to these raises. According to the AA president Edmund King, it seems like rocketing fuel prices may be in place for a while, but hopefully the Chancellor will spell out the budget in a clear way to reduce potential stress in the market. Otherwise, it seems drivers are not done seeing rises.
